Global Alliance for the Rights of Ethiopians (GARE)

Global Alliance for the Rights of Ethiopians (GARE) was founded at the end of 2013 in response to recurrent human rights abuses of Ethiopians at home and abroad. Its founders felt strongly that the time was ripe for Ethiopians in the Diaspora to tap more heavily on their own financial, intellectual and expert resources in advancing human rights and the rule of law by mobilizing financial resources and by providing expert advice, guidance and the provision of financial support to those with the greatest need.

Our Vision
Is to see a world in which the rights of all Ethiopians are respected, and a free, peaceful, democratic and prosperous Ethiopia is realized.
Our Mission
To assist Ethiopians who face human right abuses, by diligently working to intervene and advocate on their behalf globally, to protect and defend their rights as Ethiopians in accordance with the United Nations Human Rights Laws, Agreements and Protocols and to mobilize Emergency Relief Assistance for victims.
